I've decided to move to tumblr as it's easier to 'follow' other people's work and to present pictures etc.

creative collective
Thank you Rishi for organising creative collective! Have a read about it here.
'Twenty-seven county artists, aged between 18 and 25, have launched an exhibition showcasing their work at the Jam Factory in Park End Street. The exhibition, Home, Again is the third set up by Oxford-based Creative Collective, the brainchild of artist and photographer Rishi Mullett-Sadones..... ' rest of article here

Photos from exhibition.. I stress these are mainly phone photos so they're bad quality, I couldn't put all photos up, so not everybody's work is here.

cat organ
"A cat organ or cat piano (Katzenklavier in German) is a musical instrument which consists of a line of cats fixed in place with their tails stretched out underneath a keyboard so that cats cry out in pain when a key is pressed. The cats would be arranged according to the natural tone of their voices."

summer ends, course begins and its already november
Here I present you with my partridge, Maureen. In the summer, around the month of august, sculptor & ex-taxidermist Martin Hayward-Harris taught me how to preserve a bird. This proved very tricky
and rewarding, particularly scraping the muscle and fat off. For my 'line project' she was really fun to
draw from, and I can't wait to taxidermy and draw all sorts of interesting animals some time soon.

phone photos from holiday and home
Some photos from Slovenia and Croatia! The two night ones are from Škofja Loka

60's, 70's decor
When we were in Croatia a friend of ours lent his holiday flat that has been rarely used since the 70's. We found that everything from the bedlinen to the carpet were dated artifacts and were either brown, orange, mustard of moss green in colour. I enjoyed the naff-feel of it all and am sad to say that he's planning to refurbish. Here are a few examples..

Roadside Ratty
John Buckley's (sculptor) sculpture in his garden. What is extra special about this are the bees that enter in the
eye socket, make honey inside and let it drip from below. He even makes pots of honey from this sculpture!
My mum's friend Magda has her friend Marko Jakše's paintings in her house.
They're really big and I really like them, particularly the bottom one.
Postcards in scribbler: I find these ones quite funny, but I forgot to see the name of the person who did them.
